Reclaim your voice.  Rebuild your life.

Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC).  Trauma-informed therapy for recovering from narcissistic abuse in Portland and throughout Oregon via telehealth.

Have the patterns in a relationship in your life grown into something beyond conflict?  Have you started to notice patterns of antagonism, coersion, and manipulation?

If you’ve been in a relationship with someone who made everything about them—and left you feeling confused, drained, and doubting your reality—you may have experienced narcissistic or antagonistic relationship abuse.  This form of emotional and psychological abuse can deeply impact your sense of self, trust, and safety in relationships.  I specialize in helping individuals heal from the invisible wounds of narcissistic abuse—whether from a partner, parent, sibling, boss, a larger system, or friend.

How Therapy Can Help

Healing from narcissistic abuse takes time, support, and a safe space with a therapist who has the specialized training and experience specific to this unique type of fallout due to antagonistic relationship stress.  Working with a therapist with these unique qualifications can better help you to:

  • Understand what happened – Learn to identify narcissistic behaviors and reframe your experience through a trauma-informed lens.

  • Rebuild self-trust – Learn to tune into your intuition, set boundaries, and listen to your own needs again.

  • Release guilt and shame – Work toward unburdening the emotions that were never yours to carry.

  • Reclaim your voice – Be reintroduced to your authentic self and more able to rebuild your life on your own terms.

You're Not "Too Sensitive." You're Healing.

By utilizing a mixture of schema therapy, IFS approaches/parts work, mindfulness, EMDR, psychoeducation, skill building,  and somatic approaches you can reestablish a secure relationship with yourself, free yourself from self-blame and guilt, and move on with your life unencumbered by old relationship wounds.

One of the most damaging messages survivors internalize is that their feelings aren’t valid. In our sessions, your feelings are not only valid—they’re the starting point for healing. This work is about learning to trust yourself again.  I’ll be with you every step of the way.

What Is Narcissistic Abuse and Antagonistic Relationship Stress?

Narcissistic abuse is a pattern of manipulative, controlling, or emotionally harmful behaviors inflicted by someone with narcissistic traits or an antagonistic personality style.  Antagonistic personality styles in relationships often show up as being in chronic conflict, an overall sense of emotional tension and an inability to ever feel truly at ease due to just enough time to feel closeness and then intermittent patterns of intermittent abuse and reinforcement.  What this pattern of behavior looks like in relationships can be the following:

  • Gaslighting and invalidation

  • Chronic criticism or blame-shifting

  • Emotional manipulation or guilt-tripping

  • Withholding affection or love as punishment

  • Idealization followed by devaluation and discard

  • Feeling like you’re “walking on eggshells”

  • Trauma bonding (patterns of strong attachment and bonding with intermittent patterns of poor/harmful treatment)

  • Asymmetrical power and/or responsibilities in the relationship

Over time, this abuse can erode your confidence, your identity, and even your ability to trust your own thoughts and feelings.
